Iwota Says: “We’re Sorry for E3″. We Say: “WE WANT DUNAWAY AT THE STAKE”!

Remember that picture above? Back at E3 2005 when Satoru Iwota shown was known back at the time as the Revolution?

We were promised some great stuff back then such as a new Mario, new Zelda (Which was shown…but only in GameCube form), new Metroid, new Super Smash Brothers and more.

Well, it seems that while we did get all of those with Mario Galaxy, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl, the games for the hardcore are now going away bar mentions of new Mario and Zelda games in development plus Pikmin 3 being confirmed by Shigeru Miyamoto, the console we know as the Wii is being plaugued by casual games.

Now, there is no new hardcore games on the rising for the Wii just casual stuff like Wii Sports Resort, Wii Music and before you know it, it’s gonna be WiiTV somehow as well as WiiFit being released a couple of days before Grand Theft Auto IV.

Plus, with the shambles that was last Tuesday’s E3 press conference which featured 4 of the biggest catastrophys ever (The entire time Cammie Dunaway was on stage, Reggie’s charts and the bare lack of hardcore games for the Wii, WiiMusic), Nintendo are the biggest laughing stock in gaming right now.

But, alas, the president of Nintendo has made an apology. That after the jump.

Iwota made the apology in an interview with Forbes saying:

“If there is any perception that Nintendo is ignoring the core gamers, it’s a misunderstanding and we really want to get rid of that misunderstanding by any means,” says Iwata. “We are sorry about [the E3] media briefings, specifically for those who were expecting to see Nintendo show something about ‘Super Mario’ or ‘Legend of Zelda.”

But…

“However, the fact of the matter is the so-called ‘big titles’ need a long, long development period. … We really didn’t think this year’s E3 media briefing was the time to do so.”

You’ve let us down Satoru. You, Shigeru and Reggie. Oh and please, next year, DONT PUT CAMMIE DUNAWAY ON STAGE!!! The entire time she was on stage, all of the gamer community wanted to break her wrist! Infact, we want to pass this message onto Nintendo.

As punishment for making this year’s Nintendo the biggest embarrsing joke you’ve ever hosted, we ask that you hand over Cammie Dunaway for punishment. How? Burned at the stake.

WE WANT CAMMIE DUNAWAY BURNT AT THE STAKE!
