I thought they’d be forthcoming on Wednesday but the votes had to be count and it only stopped at 10am this morning.

Anyways, they have been announced and we’ll get tot the main community ones in a sec. First off, we go with the game and unsurpisingly, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune leads with 6 awards including best game, best charcter for Nathan Drake, best audio and
soundtrack and best gameplay to name a few while The Orange Box is also majorly nominated including best game, best multiplayer for Team Fortress 2 and most innovitive for Portal as well as best character for Alyx Vance from Half Life 2 and it’s episodes. Call of Duty 4 gets a few nods as well including best game and best multiplayer.

As far as the most antcipated PS3 game goes, nods were given to obvious ones including MGS4, Grand Theft Auto IV and Killzone 2 but despite its release by now, Burnout Paradise is also included in the vote.

And now the big ones, the community awards themselves. My good friend mgspro is in for a few nods after getting nominated for Best Member, Best Sporting Online Gamer and Friendliest Online Gamer.

The Sig and Av awards though were dominated by the usual suspect of TheNarrator, Alias, DEV1L and Odogg. Meanwhile, the only clan I’m only going to be in because I dont do clans bar one and thats for MGO, the [PS] MGO clan (Theres 2 clans with the name, the MGO crowd and the PC crowd) also got nominated for best clan along the heavy favourites of [X-8] Xray-8, [TR] Team Resistance as well [B3E] B3yond Elite and [ZP] Zero Patrol.

As for yours truly on the other hand, I’ve been nominated in the 3 awards which I prety much predicted which were Best Informative Member and Comedy King. But surprisingly, I was also nominated for Best Member so to whoever voted for me during the nominations for Best Forum Member, thanks very much =)

Oh dear, that boy Ryan is still on strike for not seeing Goldeneye on the VC and is now taking his rage on us =( So much that he’s deleted our old YouTube page. Now…you can bet I’m pissed about this but…meh, I can do it again. Anyways, I’m uploading some vids right now but so far its bare with the only video we got being Fianl Fantasy XIII.

So sorry guys, its gonna take a few weeks before its back to normal again.

We aren’t going to directly post them here oh no…we decided to make our own Flickr as when I posted the FFXIII screens from Famitsu, it completely slowed down the site due to its bandwidth. While the post and the pics stay, we’ll be keeping all of screens on this Flickr page.

Anyways, back to these scans.

All of it is complete translated of a 6 page feature with 2 pages based on the cover, 2 pages based of FFXIII and 2 of Versus XIII plus a small feature of the mobile game for Japan only, Final Fantasy Agito XIII.

OK, I’m still doing the V-Jump scans on FFXIII but this is too big to pass on. We’ve just got conformation from Rockstar Games that Grand Theft Auto IV will be released on Wednesday April 29th 2008 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

We are so excited to be releasing Grand Theft Auto IV. We’ve pushed ourselves very hard to make something incredible and hope the game sets a new benchmark for interactive entertainment.

Released in November, these new trailers for the games were the first new look FF fans had been waiting for, for just over a year and half. Here they are for your pleasure while I upload the V-Jump scans.

The V-Jump scans should be up shortly.

We said last week that new info would be forthcoming from Famitsu in their new issue about Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis saga.. While I did think I posted the said infomation, it was from Japan’s other biggest gaming magazine V-Jump.

And I do apolgise if I jumped the gun but now we got the real deal. As well as stuff already seen in V-Jump like screens, Famitsu also has new screens not seen in V-Jump as well as new info.

A few of the screens will be posted below but first, the info. While we havent had the screens translated, what info we do know is this.

A demo IS being made but the game’s director, Motomu Toriyama, is unsure if its actually going to be this year before we get our hands on it, either by form of the PS Store or at a convention e.g. E3, TGS, Leipzig.

As far as info on the game goes, the following quote below is from ff-xiii.net.

The blue sphere seen in previous scans has been confirmed to be the floating city Cocoon. Cocoon was built by a superhuman entity called Farushi/Falsh (ファルシ) to protect people from the threats of Pulse. People chosen by Farushi/Falsh to carry out some kind of mission are called Rushi/Luci (ルシ). Both the Blond haired man and Pigtailed girl are Rushi/Luci. Summons come to the aid of the Rushi/Luci and appear in “digital form”. The entity that built Cocoon is not the Crystal.

Also as the Famitsu scans for FFXIII, there was also Final Fantasy Versus XIII, a spin off from the main game itself. While we have absoutely no info from the translated stuff so far, we have plenty of screens from Famitsu, V-Jump and ven one from Game Informer in the US to go on.

I’ll be posting those in a gallery tonight.

But in the meantime, heres the scans for Versus XIII and FF XIII, both exclusive to Playstation 3 with them due in the US and Europe in 2009 with a Japanese release likely at the end of the year.

I’ll be posting the V-Jump scans from last week tonight so we still got a fair bit of info to get…plus we’re still to get translations but at last we are slowly, but surely, getting info on the FF games for the PS3.

I know this is not gaming releated but we have to go off here for Heath Ledger. He’s been found dead in his apartment in Manhattan. NYPD who arrived at his appartment found him unconchous but was pronounced dead. He was rumored to have broken up with his girlfriend Michelle Williams who was with Ledger and Jake Gyhenhall in Brokeback Mountain and he also leaves behind a 2 year old daughter. Ledger also finished filming in what would be his final major role, The Joker in the new Batman, The Dark Knight.

On behalf of all the team here at V3, we send our condolences to his family and close reletives and may he R.I.P.

Yesterday, it was the Razzies, today it was the Oscars but there is an awards ceromony which is bigger then the 2…and we dont have a writers strike to worry about. Yes, tomorrow, the nominations for the SCEE Playstation Community Awards are announced tomorrow. A few members such as SheepBoy, Freelance, Hex and mgspro are excpected to be nominated for several awards.

But guess what, even yours truly is getting nominated for a few. I’ll be nominated in the Best Comedy King (or Queen), thats confirmed but I’m also expected to get another 2, maybe even 3.

OK, OK, we didnt post anything all day yesterday but there is a good and healthy reason for that so before you torch us alight, let me explain.

While Ryan was somewhat on strike (as he always is), I had problems with the router. While I could go on the PSN or XBL, I couldn’t use MSN or Firefox…yes, be suspectious all you want but its the truth.

Tomorrow, we will be back to normal (Wednesday: Ryan posts a GSV3 diss song. Thursday: I love you guys, lets never fight again.) so we’ll be posting as normal.
